a new low…or, genius?

i know i’m lazy - i love lounging, relaxing, taking it easy, cooling off - but it’s come to my attention that it’s reached new heights.
as of late i’ve really come to take a liking to the concept of the power-nap. admittedly this is not a new concept; in fact, i dabbled in the art form in high school just about every day as i cracked the books each afternoon to start homework. now, i’m not entirely sure if that was power-napping or just plain procrastinating… but i’ve decided bring this pastime back and to turn one ordinary lunch break into a power hour of rest. yes my friends, the power hour of rest. and today, it got a whole lot better…
at the strike of a quarter to one i slip outta the office and into the car. i roll into roberto’s and get a lite burrito to go. i grab my insane amounts of salsa and hurry for the car. as i pull into my parking spot in the shaded parking lot near the beach i transfer to the passenger seat of the car. i crack the windows, tune the radio, and eat away. phase one complete. once done eating, i recline the chair, set the phone alarm and slip into dreamland. and in a mere 20 to 30 minutes i am simply refreshed to tackle the rest of the work day.
and i’ll tell you this my friends - today, i brought a pillow. yes, a couch pillow. and let me you this… glorious.
now ryan douglass has pointed out to me that this is a sign that i’m crazy, old, or genius. well i ask you all this workers of the world. as two o’ clock rolls around do you feel a drag and feel productivity slow down? welp, i did. no more! so grab your pillow, recline your seat, and join in to the power hour of rest!
and yes ryan, i may be losing it…

blombie, i too am a supporter of the power nap. i get two 10 min breaks and one 1/2 hour lunch every workday (mon-fri 8am-4:30pm). i usually have a lil snack on my first 10 at like 10am, then i usually eat a quick lunch on my second 10 round 1pm then at around 2pm i retire to my cat for 30min of slumber. amazingly refreshing. i started this about 6 months ago and it has become a necessity. i do it almost everyday. i luv it. old men unite.
